Attachment

Attachment is an emotional bond between a subject and a primary caregiver, such as a mother giving care to her newborn child. It is very important for attachment to develop through basic needs being met in a consistent manner. In this way the child forms feelings of trust and they are able to explore the world around them easier because they are not afraid of being left. Without this development, children will develop psychological and trust issues. They will also refuse to explore and become less emotionally competent later on in life.
